Approval by the County Administrator of Modification No. 2 with the United States Environmental Protection Agency (USEPA) for Fine Particulate Matter Ambient Air Monitoring Network Support Agreement.
• Modification approves re-allocating existing funds from the Equipment Budget category to Personnel, Fringe, Benefits, Contractual and Indirect Cost categories for project period April 1, 2025, to March 31, 2027.
• No cost is associated with the Modification.
• County has cumulatively received to date $94,579.00 thus requiring County Administrator approval.
• Signature is not required.
• Funding for this agreement is included in the Fiscal Year 2026 (FY26) Operating Budget in the General Fund portion of the Public Works Department budget.

Summary:
The Modification approves re-allocating existing funds from the Equipment Budget category to Personnel, Fringe, Benefits, Contractual and Indirect Cost categories to better align with the County’s project workplan to achieve the goals for the Fine Particulate Matter Ambient Air Monitoring Network Support. There is no cost associated with this Modification.
Background/Explanation:
This grant program has been ongoing since 1998. The County’s air program is recognized by the USEPA and the State of Florida Department of Environmental Protection as an approved local air pollution control program eligible to receive federal grant funding. The County has the authority, through prior agreements, to protect air quality through the implementation of federal and state air pollution rules and regulations.
Fiscal Impact:
Funding for this agreement is included in the FY26 Operating Budget in the General Fund portion of the Public Works Department budget.
Delegated Authority:
Authority for the County Administrator to approve the Amendment is granted under Code Section 2-62(a)(1)
