Recommended Action

Approval by the County Administrator of the pro-rated supplemental grant award for the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services for Integrated Behavioral Health Services (IBHS) Grant for the Health Care for the Homeless (HCH) program.

 

                     The funding will support 1.0 FTE Licensed Mental Health Clinician; psychiatric fee-for-services; and telehealth supplies.

                     The grant provides pro-rated funding of $83,500.00 for the period of September 1, 2021 through February 28, 2022.

                     There is no match or cost sharing requirements.

Summary:

Pinellas County Health Care for the Homeless (HCH) proposed to utilize grant funds to continue support of: 1.0 FTE Licensed Mental Health Clinician, psychiatric fee-for-services, and telehealth equipment and supplies.

 

Background Information:

During Calendar Year 2020, the Pinellas County HCH Program provided 463 unique patients access to mental health services through 3,282 clinic and virtual visits and provided substance abuse disorder services to 156 unique clients via 1,633 clinic and virtual visits.

 

Fiscal Impact:

The pro-rated grant award totals $83,500.00. There is no match required.  This supplemental funding was included in the FY22 Budget request.
