Recommended Action

Approval of the grant award for the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services for Integrated Behavioral Health Services (IBHS) Grant for the Health Care for the Homeless (HCH) program.

 

                     The funding will support 1.0 FTE Licensed Mental Health Clinician; psychiatric fee-for-services; and telehealth supplies.

                     The grant provides $167,000.00 per year.

                     There is no match or cost sharing requirements.

Summary:

Pinellas County Health Care for the Homeless (HCH) proposed to utilize grant funds for: 1.0 FTE Licensed Mental Health Clinician, psychiatric fee-for-services, and telehealth equipment and supplies.

 

Background Information:

During Calendar Year 2018, the Pinellas County HCH Program provided 440 unique patients access to mental health services through 2,555 clinic visits and provided substance abuse disorder services to 146 unique clients via 2,073 clinic visits.

 

Fiscal Impact:

The grant award totals $167,000.00. There is no match required.  This supplemental funding was not included in the FY20 Tentative Budget.  It is anticipated that a Budget Resolution may be necessary in FY20 as a result of this award.
