Summary:
In accordance with the Board’s approval on December 13, 2016 of BP projects and associated funding for each project, this agreement provides up to $22,500.00 in matching funds to the City. This funding will allow the City to design and install fountains and aerators in three (3) stormwater lakes in an effort to improve water quality. The term of the agreement is through September 30, 2018.
Background/Explanation:
In an effort to improve water quality in an aesthetic manner, the City will install fountains and aerators within Lake Thomas, Lake Paul and Lake Lori, designated as stormwater lakes. The City will facilitate the design and installation phases of the project.
Fiscal Impact:
The Funding Agreement provides up to $22,500.00 in matching funding from the $7.1 million BP Economic Settlement Funds. The funding has been appropriated for this purpose in the Fiscal Year 2017 Budget. The County shall have no obligations related to maintenance, operation, and/or any other activity yielding a fiscal impact.
Delegated Authority:
Authority for the County Administrator to sign this Funding Agreement is granted under Resolution No. 16-90 adopted on December 13, 2016.
