Approval and execution by the County Administrator of the Second Amendment to the Agreement with Geyen Group South, Inc. for carpet maintenance cleanings services.
• This contract provides carpet maintenance cleaning services to all County locations.
• This amendment increases the contract by $4,831.20 for a revised contract value of $1,054,366.11 to add carpet maintenance cleaning services at the following location: 12211 Walsingham, Building B, Largo, FL.
• The Board of County Commissioners approved the award of contract to Geyen Group South, Inc. in the amount of $966,079.23 on December 13, 2022.
• Amendment No. 1 was approved by the County Administrator on March 19, 2023, to add two (2) locations for an increase of $83,455.68.
• This contract is established as a maintenance, repair, and operating contract of which the County Administrator may approve increases up to 50% of the original Board of County Commissioners award amount per County Code 2-184 (b).
• This request is partially budgeted for in FY24. Funding is derived from the operating budgets of requesting departments and includes multiple funds, centers, accounts, and programs. With an historical annual average spend of $351,445.37, this is partially budgeted for in FY24 at $210,230.00. Departments will need to adjust spending in other areas or amend budgets to meet demands.

Summary:
This amendment increases the contract by $4,831.20 to provide carpet maintenance cleaning services to one additional County location - 12211 Walsingham, Building B, Largo, FL.
Background/Explanation:
The Board of County Commissioners approved the award of contract to Geyen Group South, Inc. in the amount of $966,079.23 on December 13, 2022.
On March 19, 2023, the County Administrator approved Amendment No. 1 to add six (6) locations in the amount of $83,455.68.
Fiscal Impact:
Approved three (3) year contract total not to exceed: $1,049,534.91
Second Amendment increase not to exceed: $ 4,831.20
Revised three (3) year expenditure not to exceed: $1,054,366.11
This request is partially budgeted for in FY24. Funding is derived from the operating budgets of requesting departments and includes multiple funds, centers, accounts, and programs.
