Approval of Change Order No. 3 to the agreements to increase the contract upset limits with Caladesi Construction Co., Gibraltar Construction Company, Inc., J.O. DeLotto & Sons, Inc., and New Vista Builder Group, LLC.

 

                     This contract provides Job Order Contracting for facility maintenance, repair and minor construction. This request is to increase the upset limit of each agreement to effect work that is ready to process. Budgeted funds are available; these agreements are the mechanism to process work that is scoped and ready to go such as roof replacements, office remodel projects, multiple projects at the County Detention center and other assorted projects for Board of County Commissioner departments and other Constitutional Officers.

                     This contract was competitively solicited and awarded by the Board of County Commissioners on January 9, 2018.

                     Change Order No. 3 increases the 4 contractors $1,500,000.00 each for a total of $6,000,000.00.

 

Contract No. 167-0421-CP(DF); in the amount of $29,500.000.00 through January 8, 2023. This Change Order is an increase of $6,000,000.00 to the upset limit of the contract. Authorize the Chairman to sign and the Clerk of the Circuit Court to attest.

Summary

Change Order No. 3 increases the upset limit for 4 firms.  Work is scoped and ready to process and budgeted funds are available. The Administrative Services Department will be pursuing a new and separate job order contracting contract for larger projects, to be utilized in conjunction with this existing contract.

DeLotto & Sons, Inc., and New Vista Builder Group, LLC for Job Order Contracting (JOC) Facility Maintenance, Repair and Minor Construction $1,500,000.00 each for a total of $6,000,000.00.

Background Information:

This contract provides JOC services for facility maintenance, repair and minor construction projects for Facilities and Real Property Division of Administrative Services Department.

On January 9, 2018 the Board of County Commissioners awarded work under this contract to five vendors in the amount of $4,000,000.00 each for a sixty (60) month term total of $20,000,000.00.

 

Fiscal Impact:

 

Original expenditure not to exceed:                      $23,500,000.00

 

Increase due to Change Order No. 3:                      $ 6,000,000.00

 

Revised total expenditure:                                                                $29,500,000.00

 

Funding for individual projects under this contract is derived from various Capital Improvement Program budgets and/or operating budgets.
