Approval of the award of bid to Suncoast Development of Pinellas County, Inc. (Suncoast) for the 49th Street at 38th Avenue North Intersection Improvements Project (Project).

 

                     The Project consists of intersection improvements that include road reconstruction, turn lane improvements, milling and resurfacing, stormwater improvements, sidewalk, curb and mast arms to replace existing concrete strain poles.

                     Six bids were received with Suncoast recommended for award as the lowest responsive and responsible bidder in the amount of $1,176,249.90.

                     All work will be completed with three hundred consecutive calendar days.

                     The Project is budgeted/funded 100% by Multimodal Impact Fees.

                     The Small Business Enterprise goal is thirteen percent for this contract.

 

Contract No. 21-0043-CP(PLU); PID No. 000958A; in the amount of $1,176,249.90; all work will be completed within 300 consecutive calendar days. Authorize the Chairman to sign and the Clerk of the Circuit Court to attest.

Background Information:

This Project is planned and funded within the Capital Improvement Program, Transportation Function, Intersection Improvements Program.  Although located within the City of St. Petersburg, both 49th Street and 36th Avenue North are County roadways.

 

Fiscal Impact:

300-day expenditure not to exceed:       $1,176,249.90

 

This project is budgeted in the Capital Improvement Program, Transportation Function, Intersection Improvements program 3021, Project 000958A.  One hundred percent funding for this project is derived from Multimodal Impact Fees.
