Approval and execution by the County Administrator of the Amendments pertaining to a corporate acquisition of ICON Consultant Group, Inc., (ICON) by Burgess & Niple, Inc. (BNI) for two contracts: Roadway, Drainage, Structural, Civil and Traffic Engineering Services (145-0342-CN) and federally funded local agency program (LAP) for Roadway, Drainage, Structural, Civil and Traffic Engineering Services (156-0293-CN).
• These contracts provide roadway, drainage, structural civil and traffic engineering services to the Public Works Department.
• This is a corporate acquisition affecting two current contracts for professional engineering services; an acquisition of ICON by BNI.
• All other terms of the Agreements remain in force; there is no change to the contract amount.
• The Board of County Commissioners awarded Contract No. 145-0342-CN on February 9, 2016 and Contract No. 156-0293-CN on February 21, 2017, respectively.
Contract No. 145-0342-CN (SS) in the amount of $1,818,181.81.00 through February 8, 2021, and Contract No. 156-0293-CN in the amount of $1,500,000.00 through February 8, 2021, respectively. There is no change to the contract amount as a result of this Amendment.

Summary:
This request is for acknowledgement of a name change due to acquisition of ICON Consultant Group, Inc. by Burgess & Niple, Inc., effective April 1, 2020. All other terms and conditions of the contract remain the same.

Contract No. 145-0342-CN:
On February 9, 2016, the Board of County Commissioners approved an Agreement for an upset limit over a five (5) year term in the amount of $1,818,181.81 with ICON and 21 other firms, for a total of $40,000,000.00. This contract provides roadway, drainage,
structural, civil and traffic engineering services.
Contract No. 156-0293-CN:
On February 21, 2017, the Board of County Commissioners approved an Agreement for an upset limit over a four (4) year term in the amount of $1,500,000.00 with ICON and 2 other firms, for a total of $4,500,000.00. This contract provides for federally funded local agency program (LAP) for Roadways, Drainage, Structural, Civil and Traffic Engineering Services
These contracts were approved by the Board on February 9, 2016, and February 21, 2017 respectively.
These contracts provide continuing engineering services for roadway, drainage, structural civil and traffic engineering services.
Fiscal Impact:
There is no change to the contract amount as a result of this Amendment.

Authority for the County Administrator to acknowledge this name change is granted under Code Section 2-62(a)(2).
