• The extension is necessary to provide time to complete an asbestos report
• There is no fiscal impact related to this Change Order
Bid no. 178-0305-CP(LN); PID No. 002878A; extending the contract expiration date by twenty-eight (28) consecutive days from July 30, 2019 to August 27, 2019.

Summary:
Change Order No. 1 is for an extension of twenty eight (28) consecutive days. An asbestos report was required by the County before demolition of the job site could begin. Change Order No. 1 provides the time necessary to complete the report.
Background/Explanation:
The scope of the project consists of renovation of the existing Federal Inspection Services facility at the Airport due to new U.S. Customs and Border Protection Design Standards. The Board of County Commissioners awarded this contact on August 21, 2018.

Funding for this project is derived from the Federal Aviation Administration(FAA) annual entitlement grant for FY2018 (Granicus #18-963A) and a Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) Joint Participation Agreement (JPA) that was approved by the Board of County Commissioners on June 19, 2018.
