Approve the award of bid to Lema Construction & Developers, Inc. for the new maintenance facility project at the St. Pete-Clearwater International Airport (Airport).
Bid No. 178-0077-CP(LN): PID No. 000031A; in the amount of $2,895,493.00 on the basis of being the lowest responsive, responsible bid received meeting specifications; all work is expected to be completed within two hundred seventy (270) consecutive calendar days. Authorize the Chairman to sign Clerk of Court to attest.

Summary:
This project consists of the construction of a new two (2) story metal pre-fabricated building and associated site work located on Airport property. The new maintenance facility will provide a larger, modern space as well as ease of access to the Airport terminal and grounds.
Work includes; pavement and miscellaneous demolition; construction of building foundations; site grading; storm water; asphalt pavement; pavement markings; area lighting and miscellaneous electrical; sewer; water; telephone/data/ communications; signage; landscaping and fencing.
Background Information:
The current maintenance facility is no longer adequate to support the Airport because it is located off of the airfield across Roosevelt Boulevard; therefore inefficient for access. Additionally, the size of the facility is no longer sufficient for crew and their maintenance activities, as well as storage of supplies and equipment.
Fiscal Impact:
Total expenditure not to exceed: $2,895,493.00

Airport Fund: $2,145,493.00

Funding for this project is derived from the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) and the Airport Fund.
