Summary:

The purpose of this project is to provide roadway, sidewalk, and drainage improvements at the County's Solid Waste Campus.  The current roadway condition has very poor drainage, which impedes pedestrian and vehicular traffic.

Background Information:

The project scope improves the Solid Waste Campus access road known at 110th Avenue North to include roadway, sidewalk, and drainage.  The project area extends 1,100 feet west of 28th Street North, and includes the reconstruction and widening.  The improvements will expand the existing plant parking lot, and provide sidewalk connections to the existing bus stop on 28th Street North.  The drainage improvements will address nuisance flooding in the roadway.

Fiscal Impact:

Total expenditure not to exceed $1,115,390.25.  The FY18 budget appropriation is $980,000.  Adequate funding is available to bridge the budget appropriation and final bid gap.

Project Funding is derived from the Capital Improvement Program: Physical Environment, Site Operational Programs allocation sourced from Solid Waste Trust Funds.
