Summary:

Per this Grant Agreement, the Air Quality Division shall provide twenty-four (24) months of compliance and enforcement services through June 30, 2019 to the State of Florida.

 

Background/Explanation:

The Air Quality Division is recognized by the FDEP and U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) as a program which meets all State of Florida and federal compliance and enforcement program requirements.

Funding from the State is provided retroactively for implementing the Federal and State Title V major stationary source regulatory control program within the county dating back to July 1, 2017 and to continue through June 30, 2019.

 

Fiscal Impact:

This Agreement provides reimbursement to the County over a two year period in the amount of $140,525.88.  The first year award from July 1, 2017 through June 30, 2018 is approved retroactively for $68,562.24.  The second year award is projected to be $71,963.64, subject to the State budget approval for July 1, 2018 to June 30, 2019.  No County match is required. This reimbursement and associated expenditures are included in the FY18 Adopted Budget.

Authority for the County Administrator to sign this Agreement is granted under Code Section 2-62(a)(1).
