Summary:
One of the projects to be carried out under the County’s Annual Action Plan for Fiscal Year 2018 (FY17/18) is the funding of GCLS operations. This agreement will provide GCLS with operating expenses, program delivery salaries and benefits, program materials, travel and a legal server module to support GCLS’s Fair Housing programs. Gulfcoast Legal Services conducts fair housing information sessions and provides free legal services regarding housing matters to low- and moderate-income Urban County residents.
The SPA is effective for one (1) year, from October 1, 2017 to September 30, 2018.
Background/Explanation:
In accordance with the adopted Consolidated Plan and Annual Action Plan, it is necessary to enter into Specific Performance Agreements with qualified agencies to allow for certain activities stated in the Annual Action Plan to be contractually delegated and specify the obligation of the agencies receiving funds in meeting Federal, State and County requirements.
Fiscal Impact:
The total amount of funding for this agreement is not to exceed $35,552.00 during the term of the Agreement. Funding for this Agreement is included in the County’s FY17/18 Budget for Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) funds.
Delegated Authority:
Authority for the County Administrator to sign this Agreement is granted under Code Section 2-62 (a) (1).
