Bid No. 167-0520-CP(DF); PID No. 001886A; in the amount of $388,355.25 on the basis of being the lowest responsive, responsible bid received meeting specifications; all work is expected to be completed within 200 consecutive calendar days. Authorize the Chairman to sign and the Clerk of the Court to attest.

Summary:
The purpose of this project is to construct 900 feet of new sidewalk on the north and south sides of Sunset Point Road, which will connect the Fred Marquis Pinellas Trail to Douglas Avenue. The project will enable students to safely walk or bicycle to a nearby school, meet pedestrian safety needs, and ensure compliance with the Americans with Disability Act regulations.
Background Information:
In addition to sidewalk improvements, this project includes new curb and gutter, milling and resurfacing, pavement markings, and minor signalization work. The project connects sidewalk previously constructed in a 2014 Safe Routes to School sidewalk project along the south side of Sunset Point Road from Douglas Avenue east to Kings Highway.

Expenditure not to exceed $388,355.25
Funding is derived from the Infrastructure Sales Tax (Penny for Pinellas): Transportation and Traffic Flow Program, General Sidewalk and ADA Program allocation.
