Recommended Action

Approval by the County Administrator of an increase to the contract and blanket purchase agreement (BPA) with L & T Brothers, Inc. d/b/a Lowes Commercial Painting (Lowes) for exterior and infrastructure painting services.

Contract No. 145-0341-B(LN): increase in the amount of $200,000.00 for a revised contract value of $704,000.00 and annual expenditure of $140,800.00 through August 31, 2020.

Summary:

This contract is for requirements of exterior and infrastructure painting services utilized Countywide.  The increase to this contract is requested due to infrastructure improvement projects not known when the invitation to bid was released and awarded.   Such projects include: the repainting of fuel tanks, sheds, water tanks, buildings at Heritage Village and the Young Rainey Star Center painting project estimated at $91,200.00.

The County Administrator awarded this contract on September 4, 2015.

Total approved estimated expenditure:               $504,000.00

Increase in expenditure not to exceed:                                             $200,000.00

 

Revised estimated expenditure not to exceed:   $704,000.00

through August 31, 2020

 

Revised estimated annual expenditure not to exceed:  $140,800.00

 

Delegated Authority:

Authority for the County Administrator to approve an increase to a BPA is granted under Code Section 2-184 (b).
