FDOT FPN No. 438022 1 38 01, and County PID No. 003306A for federal funding in the amount of $133,290.

Summary:
This agreement provides 100% of the funding needed for design activities associated with the 62nd Avenue Sidewalk Improvement Project from 62nd Street North to 55th Street North. It is also anticipated that FDOT will provide 100% of the construction costs associated with this design work as well. Design activities will begin upon issuance of a notice to proceed from the FDOT with completion of final design scheduled for February 9, 2019.
Background/Explanation:
The purpose of this project is for the design and construction of a five foot sidewalk on 62nd Avenue from 62nd Street North to 55th Street North. The project consists of the installation of a five foot sidewalk on the south side of 62nd Avenue North between 62nd Street North and 55th Street North. The addition of new pedestrian signal heads, sidewalk connectors and crosswalks to facilitate the crossings at 62nd Street North and 58th Street North are also included. The project length is approximately 0.75 miles.
Fiscal Impact:
This project is budgeted in the Capital Improvement Program budget through the Transportation and Traffic Flow, ADA Sidewalk Ramp Improvements Program allocation. The project is federally funded and administered by FDOT. The FDOT is providing $133,290.00 for the cost of design services. It is anticipated that FDOT will fund the total cost of construction associated with this design work as well.
