Summary:
This agreement provides funding for PSTA to supplement trolley fares paid by the public. The combined total funding by the partnering agencies also enables PSTA to continue fixed route trolley services between Clearwater Beach, downtown Clearwater and the Tarpon Springs Sponge Docks, with service stops in Dunedin and Palm Harbor. This agreement is presented for the contract period retroactive to October 1, 2015 to September 30, 2016.
Background/Explanation:
The Jolley Trolley service enhances PSTA’s current transportation modes by providing fixed route services seven (7) days a week, as well as providing additional public transit options for both tourists and residents. The County has provided funding for this fixed route service since 2010.
Fiscal Impact:
The County’s portion of funding in the amount of $33,963 is provided through the Transportation Trust Fund. The distribution of funding by the parties for this one (1) year contract term is as follows:
