Bid no. 167-0074-CP(DF); PID No. 001334A; in the amount of $760,380.58 on the basis of being the lowest responsive, responsible bid meeting specifications. All work is to be completed within three hundred (300) consecutive calendar days. Chairman to sign and Clerk of Court to attest.

Summary:
The purpose of this project is to address pedestrian safety with the construction of a bridge over Brooker Creek on the north side of Tarpon Woods Boulevard, east of East Lake Road. Pedestrians currently use the roadway to walk around this crossing. The Tarpon Woods Pedestrian Bridge is the third of three (3) County-planned pedestrian improvements for Tarpon Woods Boulevard.
Background Information:
Work consists of widening a sidewalk crossing of approximately 110 ft. in length on one (1) side of the current bridge. The bridge construction includes pilings, pre-stressed slab units and related concrete work. Additional project construction consists of sidewalk connections including gravity walls, drainage, handrail, curbs, asphalt paving, and related appurtenances.
Fiscal Impact:
Total expenditure not to exceed: $760,380.58.
Funding will be derived from the Infrastructure Sales Tax (Penny for Pinellas), General Sidewalk and American with Disabilities Act Program allocation. The associated utility work for this project in the amount of $117,224.00 is budgeted in the Utilities Enterprise Operating Fund.
