Approval of the State and Local Fiscal Recovery Funds Reporting Requirements Form for the grant funding agreement with the Florida Department of Environmental Protection (FDEP) for the Dunedin Causeway Resiliency and Adaptation.
• Reporting Requirements Form requires the County to comply with Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964.
• The Board of County Commissioners approved the grant agreement for the Dunedin Causeway Resiliency and Adaption Plan on February 20, 2024.
• FDEP requested Reporting Requirements Form be signed after the grant agreement was executed.

The SLFRF Reporting Requirements Form must be signed as a part of the FDEP agreement execution process. The Grant Agreement for the Dunedin Causeway Resiliency and Adaption Plan was approved by the Board on February 20, 2024. FDEP requested Reporting Requirements Form compliance after the Grant Agreement was executed.

Background Information:
The Grant Agreement provides $600,000.00 to conduct the Dunedin Resiliency and Adaptation Plan. The funding will be used to develop a Resiliency & Adaptation Plan for the Dunedin Causeway, including preliminary design. The project includes evaluation of current and future roadway and shoreline conditions; vulnerability assessment related to Sea Level Rise (SLR) and flooding; exposure and consequence analysis; identification of alternatives including adaptation to SLR/flooding; preliminary design and guide for final design and construction. The Dunedin Causeway contains two (2) bridges that are planned for replacement in the future.
