Approval of the First Amendment to the agreement with Aptim Environmental & Infrastructure, LLC for coastal management environmental consulting services.

 

                     This contract provides for professional engineering services on an as needed basis to assist the Environmental Management Division of Public Works with implementation of the County’s Coastal Management Program.

                     This First Amendment provides an increase of $1,000,000.00 to the agreement providing for contract funding that was depleted as a result of our Hurricane Idalia post-storm response for emergency dunes and stabilization.

                     This contract was originally awarded by the Board of County Commissioners on February 28, 2023, with a total upset limit of $1,250,000.00 over the 5-year term.

                     The total value of this amendment is budgeted at $200,000.00 in the Fiscal Year (FY) 2024 Adopted Operating budget, at $200,000.00 in the FY25 operating budget submission, and $170,885.00 in various capital projects, with the balance to likely be proposed in future budgets.

 

Contract No. 22-0612-CN increase in the amount of $1,000,000.00 for a revised total contract not to exceed $2,250,000.00 over the five-year term; Authorize the Chairman to sign and the Clerk of the Circuit Court to attest.

Summary

The First Amendment provides an increase of $1,000,000.00 to the agreement providing for depleted contract funding as a result of Hurricane Idalia post-storm emergency response.

This contract provides for coastal consulting services on a continuing basis to assist with the County’s Coastal Management Program. The contract incorporates the continuation of existing projects and initiation of new projects to protect coastal infrastructure, enhance recreational opportunities, and to survey physical and biological beach conditions.
