Approval of a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between WorkNet Pinellas, Inc. d/b/a CareerSource Pinellas (CSPN) and Advanced Robotics for Manufacturing Institute (ARM).
• Memorandum of Understanding with ARM to align expiration dates with the other MOU’s included in the Local Workforce Development Plan expiring June 30, 2024.
• The Local Plan was approved by the CSPN Board on March 18, 2020, filed with the State, and is effective July 1, 2020 through June 30, 2024.
• ARM has a Department of Labor grant which requires them to enter into this agreement.
• The term of the MOU is 7/1/2022 - 6/30/2024.

Summary:
Summary
The Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA) requires each Local Workforce Development Board (LWDB) to develop MOUs with required partners. ARM is not a regular required partner but was awarded a National Dislocated Worker Grant and is required to partner with the local workforce board. The MOU is retroactive to the start of their grant, which was July 1, 2022. At this time, we would like to approve the MOU with ARM through 6/30/2024 to align with the grant period.

Background Information:
On June 22, 2021, the Board approved the 2020-2024 Local Plan that was developed in accordance with 2020-2024 Local Workforce Services Plan Instructions provided by the Florida Department of Economic Opportunity. As part of the Local Plan, Memoranda of Understanding with the One Stop Partners was included. ARM has a Department of Labor grant which requires them to enter into this agreement.
