Approval of the termination of Agreement with Commercial Landscape Professionals d/b/a Trimac Outdoor (Trimac Outdoor) for landscape and irrigation maintenance services.

 

                     This contract provided the Department Administrative Services with a mechanism to obtain routine mowing services in addition to edging, weeding, tree, shrub, and palm pruning and mulching, irrigation system maintenance and repair, pest control, and fertilizing at various County Locations.

                     This agreement is terminated for cause for the contractor’s continued failure to fulfill the contract obligations and provide adequate performance of services as required.

                     On June 23, 2020, the Board of County Commissioners approved the descoping of several locations and services from the Agreement with Trimac Outdoor.

                     The required services for the remaining locations are in process via amendment to the contract’s second lowest bidder, Yellowstone Landscape Southeast LLC d/b/a Yellowstone Landscape during the time needed to establish a new contract   There will be a slight increase in unit pricing however the full scope of services is not required at this point in time due to slow growing season therefore there should not be additional cost to the County due to this contract cancellation.   

                     The Board of County Commissioners awarded this contract to Trimac Outdoor on June 23, 2020, in the amount of $1,536,900.00 for a sixty-month term.

Summary

Due to consistent performance deficiencies, the agreement with Trimac Outdoor is terminated effective April 25th, 2023. Services were previously descoped from the Agreement on October 26th, 2021. As a result of conducting a second cure process, Trimac Outdoor has failed to demonstrate substantial improvements. The required services and locations for landscape maintenance will be provided by Yellowstone Landscape until a new contract is established.

The Board of County Commissioners awarded contract number 189-0354-B to Trimac Outdoor on June 23, 2020, in the amount of $1,536,900.00 for a sixty (60) month term.  The First Amendment with Trimac Outdoor to descope the contract was approved by the Board of County Commissioners on October 26, 2021.
