• Rejection of bids is requested due to both vendors inability to meet 24-hour “must” delivery requirement identified in solicitation for concrete mix materials.
• A new solicitation document is being prepared with adjusted delivery timeframe requirements and to seek more competition.

Summary
This request is to reject the two (2) bids received from vendors for concrete mix materials. Upon reviewing submittals and contact with vendors, neither vendor could meet the 24-hour “must” delivery time identified in the specifications. It was determined that the department would adjust this time frame and Purchasing would rebid giving potential bidders the opportunity to submit bids based on the adjusted time frame. Rejecting the bids is necessary to increase vendor participation and establish a contract that will fulfill the department’s requirements for these products.
