Sitting as the Pinellas County Fire Protection Authority, approve Amendment No. 1 to the Fire Protection Services Agreement with the Lealman Special Fire Control District.
• Contractor agrees to purchase, maintain and insure one Pierce 61 ft, Sky-Boom Aerial Fire Apparatus and firefighting and rescue equipment with a total cost not to exceed $1,300,000.00 to serve as Engine 21 in the Tierra Verde Fire District.
• The existing Engine 21 will be utilized as a reserve fire apparatus in the Tierra Verde Fire District.
• This apparatus is a planned replacement in Fiscal Year 2022-2023 in accordance with Appendix A of the Fire Protection Services Agreement.
Authorize the Chairman to sign and the Clerk of the Circuit Court to attest.

Background Information:
Contractor agrees to purchase, maintain and insure one (1) Pierce 61 ft, Sky-Boom Aerial Fire Apparatus and firefighting and rescue equipment with a total cost not to exceed $1,300,000.00. The Apparatus is a planned replacement in FY22-23 in accordance with Appendix A of the Fire Protection Services Agreement.
County agrees the Contractor will be reimbursed for the cost of the Fire Apparatus and associated firefighting and rescue equipment through its annual Budget Request and Adopted Budget per Section 701 of the contract. Contractor will ensure the funds provided go to the purchase of the Apparatus.
Fiscal Impact:
The Lealman Special Fire Control District will purchase a replacement for fire apparatus Engine 21. The total cost of the apparatus will not exceed $1,300,000.00.
Reimbursement for the apparatus is to be made in accordance with the agreed capital plan and budget. Per the vendor proposal, delivery is anticipated approximately 25 months after the order is made. Tierra Verde Fire District Fund Reserves are sufficient to budget for payment upon expected delivery of the apparatus in FY24.
