Background Information:

The TMC is a stakeholder group focused on the operations and fiscal health of the County’s solid waste disposal and resource recovery system.  The system is an enterprise fund dependent on revenues generated to support operations, maintenance and capital improvements.

The TMC is comprised of thirteen professionals experienced in the field of solid waste collection and disposal, utility management, health, public administration, engineering, accounting, economics, auditing and environmental resources.  Eleven members are municipal appointees as specified in Pinellas County Code Part 1, Chapter 106, Article II, Division 2. Sec.106-54 (1).  The Board of County Commissioners appoint two members with historical preference for one position to be from the Solid Waste Department and the second to represent the licensed, private solid waste collectors as defined in Article V of the above referenced code.
