Recommended Action

Approval and execution by the County Administrator of the Second Amendment to the Agreement pertaining to a corporate acquisition of Tindale Oliver & Associates, Inc.(Tindale) to Alfred Benesch & Company for consulting support services.

 

                     This contract was awarded to eleven (11) firms to provide the Planning Department with consulting support services in specialized areas of the planning process on an as-needed basis.  Any county department, however, may utilize these services.

                     This Amendment is for a corporate merger of Tindale Oliver & Associates, Inc. with Alfred Benesch & Company.

                     All other terms of the agreement remain in full force and effect; there is no change to the contract amount.

                     The original award amount to Tindale is $250,000.00.

                     The Board of County Commissioners (Board) awarded this contract on February 5, 2019.  The First Amendment for an increase to the contract with HCP Associates in the amount of $180,900.00 was approved by the County Administrator on March 26, 2021.  

 

Contract No. 178-0356-P(LN) in the amount of $5,830,000.00 through February 4, 2024, with an estimated annual expenditure of $1,166,180.00.  There is no change to the contract amount.Body

Summary:

This request is for acknowledgement of a name change due to a merger of Tindale Oliver & Associates to Alfred Benesch & Company effective December 17, 2021.  All other terms and conditions of the contract remain the same.

 

Background/Explanation:

This contract was approved by the Board on February 5, 2019.

This contract provides consultant services for countywide departments on an as-needed basis in nine (9) disciplines including: multimodal transportation planning and analysis, economic analysis, communications and public involvement, urban design, land use and redevelopment, historic preservation, community resilience, community development and redevelopment planning
.

 

Fiscal Impact:

There is no change to the approved total contract amount.

 

Total Approved Expenditure:  $5,830,900.00

 

Funding is derived from each using department’s general fund/operating budget.

 

Delegated Authority:

Authority for the County Administrator to acknowledge this name change is granted under Code Section 2-62 (a)(2).
