Summary
This contract provides for biweekly, on-site preventative maintenance and repair of odor control units at SCBAWRF. Services include, but are not limited to all necessary equipment, labor, and materials to perform preventative maintenance services and repairs.
This sixty (60)-month contract contains a provision for price adjustments annually to commence one (1) year from the date of award in an amount not to exceed the average of the Consumer Price Index (CPI) or 3%, whichever is less, for all Urban Consumers, , Not Seasonally Adjusted, for the twelve (12) months prior.

Background Information:
On November 10, 2021, the Purchasing and Risk Management Division, on behalf of PCU, released an invitation to bid with the intent to establish a contract for biweekly on-site preventative maintenance and repair of odor control units. These services require highly certified technicians to perform the maintenance services required in the bid document. The bid was advertised for 36 days. The County solicitated these services from 171 firms. Due to the staff requirements and certifications needed to perform these services, competition is very low. One bid was received with Evoqua Water Technologies, LLC, the current vendor, deemed as the only responsive and responsible bidder.

Funding is derived from the Sewer Revenue and Operating Budget. Expenses for the remainder of FY22 are covered in the approved budget. Funding to continue this ongoing repair and maintenance work is included in the department’s FY23 budget request submittal.
