Summary:

This project consisted of replacing an existing three hundred fifty (350) ton air cooled helical rotary water chiller at the Airport.

The project was substantially completed on April 5, 2021 with all punch list items completed by July 13, 2021 as the final completion date.  Final inspections have been conducted for all work performed under the contract by representatives of the Airport resulting in a net total decrease of ($120,815.75).

Background/Explanation:

Replacing the existing chiller was essential to sustain established levels of service. The new chiller will renew Airport infrastructure, ensure the interior of the terminal building is kept mold and moisture free and will significantly reduce impacts to Airport customers.

Additional work completed during the project included existing flow meter replacements, panels to protect the chiller from foreign object debris intake and a guardrail end piece replacement utilizing available Owner Unspecified (Allowance).  Procurement and installation time for these items pushed the final project completion to July 13, 2021.

Fiscal Impact:

Original Agreement Amount:                                                               $ 747,888.35
