Background Information:

The Department of Public Works is partnering with County municipalities to better define right-of-way maintenance responsibility in areas where jurisdictional boundaries are shared.  This assignment is a required part of the companion Road Transfer Interlocal Agreement, which transfers jurisdictional responsibility for designated public road segments that are within, or partially within, the City municipal limits.

The City and County agree that it is in the best interest of the parties that responsibilities associated with operation, maintenance, planning, design and construction of the identified road segments, along with any future improvements thereto, be transferred to the City or County.  The City or County accepts all legal rights of the roadway segments that are within, and appurtenant to, the right-of-way being transferred.
