Summary
The County Attorney’s Office is seeking authorization to file suit through outside counsel if negotiations to resolve the dispute are unsuccessful.
This action is the result of breach of contract for the Design/Build Jail Campus Infrastructure Project. Moss & Associates, LLC was the design builder and OCI Associates, Inc. was the Engineer of Record. The project was to be "turnkey," for the purpose of improving the existing jail campus infrastructure by replacing old facilities with newer more efficient facilities with up-to-date technology. The project included, but was not limited to, the construction of a new kitchen; laundry; and central plant and jail control building. Numerous aspects of the project have failed or are failing.
This authorization includes bringing suit against all defendants that may be or become necessary to fully litigate this action.
