• This Agreement provides the software utilized by Contract No. 189-0221-A, with Vertex Data Utility Services, LLC (Vertex). Vertex is the contracted vendor providing implementation, support, and cloud-hosting services for Pinellas County Utilities (PCU) customer information system (CIS) for water and sewer services revenue generation.
• The First Amendment revises the SAP software order form delivery address from Vertex, to Pinellas County; to realize tax savings regarding SAP software licensing purchases.
• This Amendment is projected to save approximately $280,000.00 due to the County’s tax exemption status.
• This contract was originally approved by the Board of County Commissioners (Board) on July 23, 2019 for a ten-year term.
Contract No. 189-0221-A; effective through July 22, 2029. The Board awarded this contract in the total amount of $18,875,053.01, on July 23, 2019. This Amendment is projected to save $280,000.00.

Summary:
The First Amendment revises the SAP software order form delivery address from Vertex, to Pinellas County; to realize tax savings regarding SAP software licensing expenditures. Currently, SAP software licensing expenditures are a pass-through expense to PCU from Vertex. As implementor and hosting company, the Vertex address was originally referenced with the SAP software order form during contract implementation.

This contract was originally approved by the Board on July 22, 2019 in the amount of $18,875,053.01 for implementation and support services related to the VertexOne platform upgrade.

Funding is derived from Utilities Water and Sewer Enterprise Funds.
