Approval and signature by the Administrative Services Director for a Time Extension to the Local Agency Program (LAP) Agreement with the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) for the construction and construction engineering inspection (CEI) services for Hercules Avenue Sidewalk II from Sherwood Street to Sunset Point Road.
FDOT FPN: 424564 7 58/68 01 and Contract No. G1E36; County PID No. 002686A; Agreement is extended to December 31, 2021.

Summary:
The Time Extension allows adequate time for project completion. The agreement currently expires on June 11, 2021. The Time Extension is necessary due to required plan revisions for utility and survey work associated with the Joint Project Agreement (JPA) with the City of Clearwater. Construction completion is expected during Fall 2021. The Time Extension extends the agreement term to December 31, 2021. There is no increase to the total contract amount.
Background Information:
This project was awarded by the Board of County Commissioners on September 12, 2019 for $1,443,956.00. Project activities include the construction of Americans with Disabilities Act (A.D.A.) compliant concrete sidewalk on both sides of Hercules Avenue, piping existing ditches, pedestrian bridge, concrete box culvert extension, drainage, and intersection improvements from Sherwood Street to Sunset Point Road.
FDOT, through this agreement, is providing one hundred percent (100%) of the funding necessary for the construction completion of this project on a reimbursement basis. FDOT also provided design funding for this project.
