Summary:

Summary

Due to a communication error, the resolution adopted by the County commission on June 23, 2020, incorporated by reference an incorrect School Board resolution.  Due to the error, the School Board adopted a superseding resolution on July 28, 2020, and the County commission must also adopt a revised resolution to ensure the measure is properly placed on the November 3, 2020 ballot.  The proposed levy will be extended for an additional four (4) years beginning July 1, 2021, and continuing through June 30, 2025.  The amount of this levy is one-half mill.  This tax is currently in place and the School Board is seeking to continue that collection.  The attached resolution calls for an election in accordance with the provisions of the Pinellas County School Board resolution and Sections 1011.71 and 1011.73 of the Florida Statutes.
