• Restoring the Residential Rural future land use category (.5 unit per acre) to the Countywide Rules.
• Clarifying the process to be used for designation of the Residential Rural category.
• Updating traffic generation characteristics associated with the Residential Rural and Residential Very Low categories.
• Updating section numbering and references.

Forward Pinellas, in its role as the Pinellas Planning Council, held a public hearing on May 13, 2020 and adopted Resolution 20-03, recommending that the Countywide Planning Authority amend the Countywide Rules as set forth in the attached underline/strike-through ordinance. The Planners Advisory Committee met on May 4, 2020 and voted unanimously in favor of this amendment (vote: 13-0).
An amendment to the Countywide Rules requires two public hearings by the Countywide Planning Authority, with at least one of the hearings being held in the evening. This is the second of the two requisite public hearings. The first public hearing was properly advertised and held on July 21, 2020 at 6:00 p.m.
