Sitting as the Countywide Planning Authority, adopt and ordinance approving Case No. CW 20-03, a proposal by the City of Pinellas Park to amend the Countywide Plan Map from Retail and Services and Target Employment Center Overlay to Employment and Target Employment Center Overlay, regarding 0.45 acre more or less, located at 12551 U.S. Highway 19 North.
• The proposed amendment would allow for the subject property to be redeveloped into an outdoor storage facility.
• The parcel is currently vacant.
• The site is surrounded by heavy commercial, light industrial, and some heavy industrial uses.
• The Employment category is appropriate for the proposed use of the property and is consistent with the criteria for utilization of this category.
• The proposed amendment either does not involve, or will not significantly impact, the remaining relevant countywide considerations.
• Forward Pinellas, in its role as the Pinellas Planning Council, voted 11-0 to recommend approval of the proposal.
• The Planners Advisory Committee recommended approval of the case by a vote of 11-0.
