Sitting as the Countywide Planning Authority, adopt an ordinance approving Case No. CW 20-01, a proposal by Pinellas County to amend the Countywide Plan Map from Residential Low Medium to Residential Medium, regarding 1.79 acres more or less, located at 11290 Walshingham Road.                                          

 

                     The proposed amendment would allow for an increase in the number of beds in the Assisted Living Facility from 54 to 80 beds.

                     The additional beds will not require an expansion to the existing structure.

                     The area surrounding the subject property includes low to medium density residential housing.

                     The Residential Medium category is appropriate for the proposed use of the property and is consistent with the criteria for utilization of this category.

                     The proposed amendment either does not involve, or will not significantly impact, the remaining relevant countywide considerations.

                     Forward Pinellas, in its role as the Pinellas Planning Council, voted 11-0 to recommend approval of the proposal.

                     The Planners Advisory Committee recommended approval of the case by a vote of 10-0.

Forward Pinellas, in its role as the Pinellas Planning Council, voted 11-0 to recommend approval of the proposal.  The Planners Advisory Committee recommended approval of the case by a vote of 10-0.

The Board of County Commissioners, at its October 22, 2019 meeting, adopted the related Case No.  LU-16-09-19:  An ordinance approving the change in land use designation from Residential Urban to Residential Medium, regarding 1.79 acres located at 11290 Walshingham Road.
