Sitting as the Countywide Planning Authority, adopt an ordinance approving Case No. CW 20-01, a proposal by Pinellas County to amend the Countywide Plan Map from Residential Low Medium to Residential Medium, regarding 1.79 acres more or less, located at 11290 Walshingham Road.
• The proposed amendment would allow for an increase in the number of beds in the Assisted Living Facility from 54 to 80 beds.
• The additional beds will not require an expansion to the existing structure.
• The area surrounding the subject property includes low to medium density residential housing.
• The Residential Medium category is appropriate for the proposed use of the property and is consistent with the criteria for utilization of this category.
• The proposed amendment either does not involve, or will not significantly impact, the remaining relevant countywide considerations.
• Forward Pinellas, in its role as the Pinellas Planning Council, voted 11-0 to recommend approval of the proposal.
• The Planners Advisory Committee recommended approval of the case by a vote of 10-0.
