Approval to receive the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) funding for the Lealman Community Redevelopment Area (CRA) and abide by the current EPA general terms and conditions.

Funding from this grant is reimbursable to the County when ESAs and supporting activities are completed.

Private developers and the County may utilize this funding.

A Brownfield Advisory Committee will be established to screen sites for funding.

The County will expend the funds over a three year grant period.

The grant award is for $300,000.00.

Fiscal Impact:

This U.S. EPA Brownfield grant is in the amount of $300,000.00 and was not budgeted in the FY20 Adopted Budget.  The County is not required to provide a match for these funds.  The grant is for three years and could potentially span over all three years for budgetary purposes.
