Sitting as the Countywide Planning Authority, adopt an ordinance approving Case No. CW 19-18, a proposal by the City of Safety Harbor to amend the Countywide Plan Map from Activity Center to Activity Center, regarding 0.62 acre more or less, located north of Main Street and east of 2nd Avenue North, Safety Harbor.
• The subject property’s designation on the Countywide Plan Map will remain Activity Center which is utilized to recognize those important, identifiable centers of business, public, and residential activity, as may be appropriate to the particular circumstance, that are the focal point of a community, and served by enhanced transit commensurate with the type, scale, and intensity of use.
• The Countywide Rules that govern Activity Centers require a public hearing when changes to densities, intensities or permitted uses are made at the local level to the special area plan for an Activity Center.
• The proposal will amend the local Future Land Use Map of the Baranoff Oak Park parcel from the Community Town Center Character District to the Public Character District.

Summary:
Forward Pinellas, in its role as the Pinellas Planning Council, voted 10-0 to recommend approval of the proposal. The Planners Advisory Committee recommended approval of the case by a vote of 12-0.
