Sitting as the Countywide Planning Authority, adopt an ordinance approving Case No. CW 19-17, a proposal from the City of Safety Harbor to amend the Countywide Plan Map from Residential Low Medium to Recreation/Open Space, regarding 0.5 acre more or less, located at 1538 Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Street North, Safety Harbor.

The subject property is currently vacant land that was purchased by the City of Safety Harbor with the intent to keep the property in its natural state and add the property to the Folly Farms Preserve.

The proposed category is appropriate for this use and is consistent with the criteria for utilization of this category.

The proposed amendment either does not involve, or will not significantly impact, the remaining relevant countywide considerations.

Forward Pinellas and the Planners Advisory Committee each voted unanimously to recommend approval of this proposal.
