Summary:
The Jayne Sidwell Trust owns residential property located in unincorporated Pinellas County where upon Canine Estates, Inc., of which Jayne Sidwell is a principal, operates in violation of Pinellas County Code. On June 5, 2019, Ms. Sidwell’s request for a variance to allow for a Type 2 Use (Kennel/Pet Care Facility) was denied by the Board of Adjustment and Appeals. Ms. Sidwell’s request for time to transition the pet care facility from the location was granted.
Should the property not be in compliance at any time subsequent to September 3, 2019, the County Attorney would be authorized to initiate litigation for injunctive relief against Jayne Sidwell, as Trustee, and Canine Estates, Inc., as operator, as well as any other parties responsible for the non-compliance.
Background Information:
The request for variance was denied on June 5, 2019, through Board of Adjustment and Appeals Case No. BA-01-06-19, and is currently on appeal.
