Sitting as the Countywide Planning Authority, adopt an ordinance approving Case No. CW 19-11, a proposal by the City of Clearwater to amend the Countywide Plan Map from Retail and Services to Activity Center, regarding 0.52 acre more or less, located at the southwest corner of U.S. Highway 19 North and Nursery Road.

The subject property is currently vacant and part of a voluntary annexation into the City of Clearwater.

The purpose of the annexation is to help spur development on an otherwise vacant parcel currently zoned for commercial uses.

The annexation will eliminate an enclave of retail/commercial that exists within this portion of Clearwater’s designated Activity Center.

Forward Pinellas and the Planners Advisory Committee each voted unanimously to recommend approval of this proposal.
