Approval and execution by the County Administrator of the administrative amendment to the Florida Shared-Use Non-Motorized Trail Network Agreement with the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) for funding to complete the north end of the Pinellas Trail Loop, FDOT FPN No. 440093 1 54 01.

                     Original grant agreement awarded on March 17, 2017 for $5.7 million.

                     Design-build agreement awarded on March 20, 2018.

                     This amendment removes Title VI Assurances as required in the original grant funding agreement.

Summary:

This action is necessary in order to remove the Title VI Assurances that were included in Exhibit E to the original grant agreement. The Title VI Assurances were identified to be removed because this is a non-federal project and is off the state highway system.

 

Background/Explanation:

On March 17, 2017, the Board of County Commissioners (Board) approved the grant agreement with FDOT for grant funding in the amount of $5.7 million to support completion of design and construction for the north gap of the Pinellas Trail Loop.  The Board also approved award of the design-build agreement on March 20, 2018 in the amount of $1,599,461.80 to begin design activities.  Portions of the project are in the final design stages with construction anticipated to begin in the coming months.
