Sitting as the Countywide Planning Authority, adopt an ordinance approving Case No. CW 19-07, a proposal by the City of Clearwater to amend the Countywide Plan Map from Public/Semi-Public to Residential Low Medium, regarding 4.88 acres more or less, located at 1625 Union Street, Clearwater.
• The subject property is the current location of the Mt. Zion Methodist Church. Union Place, LLC purchased the property in September 2018.
• In total, there are approximately 30,000 square feet of development comprised of four one and two-story buildings on the site.
• If approved, this amendment would allow the property to redevelop as a residential development which is in scale, intensity and character with the overall neighborhood and would be consistent with the City of Clearwater’s Comprehensive Plan.
• Forward Pinellas and the Planners Advisory Committee each voted unanimously to recommend approval of this proposal.

Summary:
Forward Pinellas, in its role as the Pinellas Planning Council, voted 9-0 to recommend approval of the proposal. The Planners Advisory Committee recommended approval of the case by a vote of 11-0.
