Sitting as the Countywide Planning Authority, adopt an ordinance approving Case No. CW 19-07, a proposal by the City of Clearwater to amend the Countywide Plan Map from Public/Semi-Public to Residential Low Medium, regarding 4.88 acres more or less, located at 1625 Union Street, Clearwater.

The subject property is the current location of the Mt. Zion Methodist Church. Union Place, LLC purchased the property in September 2018.

In total, there are approximately 30,000 square feet of development comprised of four one and two-story buildings on the site.

If approved, this amendment would allow the property to redevelop as a residential development which is in scale, intensity and character with the overall neighborhood and would be consistent with the City of Clearwater’s Comprehensive Plan.

Forward Pinellas and the Planners Advisory Committee each voted unanimously to recommend approval of this proposal.
