Summary:

The MSTU Funding Agreement will enable TVCA to complete installation of the LED sign at the Tierra Verde Community Recreation Facility, located at 540 Sand Point Drive S.  TVCA has demonstrated financial need for facilities maintenance at the complex.  The organization has the sole responsibility for the maintenance and operation for the complex, which benefits residents of both incorporated and unincorporated Pinellas County.

Background/Explanation:

The County recognizes the recreational benefits organizations such as TVCA provide the community.  At the request of TVCA, the Board of County Commissioners approved funding on June 19, 2018, for specific complex improvements using available MSTU project fund appropriation within the General Fund.  Specifically, TVCA will purchase and install LED signage at the recreation facility to provide enhanced recreation and community program information to the public.

Fiscal Impact:

Appropriation to support this agreement is included in the FY19 adopted budget in the General Fund. The not-to-exceed amount is $20,000.00.
