Summary:

At the request of the Tax Collector, this Fourth Amendment provides for the continuation of a full service lease for the Tax Collector’s office located at 13025 Starkey Road in Largo, for an additional eighteen (18) months. The lease term extension will allow operations to continue at the existing location while the Real Estate Management Department considers options including, soliciting a longer term lease proposal with tenant improvements from the current Landlord, an option to purchase this property, and lease proposals at alternative locations. 

 

Background/Explanation:

The Tax Collector has occupied this leased location since May 2004, which has served as a suitable location to serve the citizens of Pinellas County.

The current lease expires on April 30, 2019. This lease extension expires on October 31, 2020. 

 

Fiscal Impact:

The existing base rent is $18.46 per square foot and will remain unchanged throughout the extended lease term.

 

The source of funding is from the Tax Collector’s budget. This lease extension is consistent with the FY19 Adopted Budget.

 

Delegated Authority:

Authority for the County Administrator to sign this Fourth Amendment to the Lease Agreement is granted under Code Section 2-62(a)(2).
