Approve appointment to the Local Planning Agency Board (LPA) of Commissioner Welch’s nomination of Lari Johnson to fulfill an existing term to expire on November 9, 2020.

Background Information:
The LPA prepares the Pinellas County Comprehensive Plan and plan amendments and makes recommendation to the Board of County Commissioners (BCC) pertaining to the plan’s adoption and amendments. The agency also reviews land development regulations and amendments and makes recommendations to the BCC on their consistency to the Comprehensive Plan. Another major function of the LPA is to review and make recommendations to the BCC on each proposed change in land use and zoning, a proposed or amended development agreement, and conditional use requests.The LPA consists of seven members who are nominated individually by a commissioner and appointed by the Board as a whole. The member’s term runs concurrent with that of the nominating commissioner.
