Recommended Action

Sitting as the Countywide Planning Authority, adopt an ordinance approving Case No. CW 18-05, a proposal by Pinellas County to amend the Countywide Plan Map from, Recreation/Open Space to Residential Low Medium, regarding 0.3 acre more or less, located on the east side of Pine Street, 200 feet north of Wilcox Road in Dansville (subthreshold amendment).

Summary:

Forward Pinellas, in its role as the Pinellas Planning Council, voted 12-0 to recommend approval of the proposal and staff concurs with this recommendation.  The Planners Advisory Committee recommended approval of this case by a vote of 12-0.

The Board of County Commissioners, at its January 23, 2018 meeting, adopted the related Case No. Z/LU-16-12-17:  A resolution approving the application made by Pinellas County, for a change of zoning from PC, Preservation/Conservation to R-3, Single Family Residential, and an ordinance for approval of a change in land use designation from Recreation/Open Space to Residential Low, regarding 0.3 acre located on the east side of Pine Street, 200 feet north of Wilcox Road in Dansville.
