Bid no. 178-0089-CP(RG); PID No.002102A ; in the amount of $685,546.05 on the basis of being the lowest responsive, responsible bid received meeting specifications; all work is expected to be completed within 120 consecutive calendar days. Authorize the Chairman to sign and Clerk of Court to attest.

Summary:
The purpose of this project is to construct new sidewalk and an unpaved shoulder along the south side of Haines Bayshore Road from east of US 19 to Sunrise Boulevard.
The proposed sidewalk will provide connectivity between the residential neighborhoods,
Clearwater Central Catholic High School and ultimately the Duke Energy Trail for pedestrians and bicyclists.
Background Information:
On February 9, 2018, the Purchasing Department, on behalf on the Public Works Department, released an Invitation to Bid (ITB) for the above referenced services. The ITB resulted in four (4) responsive bid submittals.
Fiscal Impact:
Expenditure not to exceed $685,546.05
Funding is derived from Capital Improvement Program Budget: Transportation and Traffic Flow, Sidewalk Projects program allocation. The source of funding is provided by a federal pass-through grant administered by the Florida Department of Transportation through a Local Agency Program agreement.
