Summary:
The purpose of this contract is to sell surplus pine timber grown and harvested on 807 acres at Cross Bar / Al Bar Ranch in Pasco County. The bid received from South Florida Timber is 3.3% above the previous surplus pine timber contract price and has been recommended for award by the County forestry consultant, Natural Resource Planning Services.
Background Information:
On January 17, 2018, the Purchasing Department, on behalf of the Utilities Department, released an invitation to bid with the intent to establish a contract for the sale of surplus pine timber. This contract replaces the current contract that will terminate on June 30, 2018.
Fiscal Impact:
Total estimated revenue: $1,647,000.00
Annual estimated revenue not to exceed: $549,000.00
Revenue derived from this contract will be deposited to the Utilities Enterprise Fund.
