Summary:
This interlocal agreement is between the County, the City of St. Petersburg, and various other local municipalities that are participating in the cooperative Disaster Debris Collection and Removal Services, and Disaster Debris Monitoring and Management Services contracts in an effort to ensure compliance with the Federal Emergency Management Agency’s (FEMA) Public Assistance Program and Policy Guide.
Background/Explanation:
The County previously entered into this interlocal agreement with 21 partnering municipalities in August 2017. The City of St. Petersburg is the last municipality to enter into the agreement. The cities of Clearwater, and Tarpon Springs have declined participation.
This interlocal agreement defines the responsibilities between the County and the participating local municipalities as cooperators of the Disaster Debris Collection and Removal Services, and Disaster Debris Monitoring and Management Services contracts. Each party is individually responsible to seek their own FEMA reimbursements.
